Path to Pascha Tabletop Garden
During Cheese Week we got our tabletop garden ready to use along with the readings from Tending the Garden of Our Hearts. [See my review and links here.] It's very simple, actually. I used a plastic tray and covered it with packaged sheet moss. We planted a few tiny pots with grass seed and also … Continue reading Path to Pascha Tabletop Garden
Jesse Tree
Last year Elissa Bjeletich sent me her delightful Welcoming the Christ Child, a book of 40 family advent readings and matching ornaments. I loved it but felt that my youngest two were not going to appreciate it, so I saved it for this year. (You can read my review here.) One dilemma I had was … Continue reading Jesse Tree
Dormition, Roses, Wool, Miniatures, and Clouds
Lately it's been busy and hot. Pretty much the usual. Cloud photography happens more days than not, and sometimes we get a bit of rain. The first two went to Emily, the owner … Continue reading Dormition, Roses, Wool, Miniatures, and Clouds
Yarn Along for August

Of course, if it's not enjoyable for me then it's hard … Continue reading Yarn Along for August

Then you get one of these miscellaneous life posts. Moppet picked lots and lots of flowers before, during, and after … Continue reading Bits and pieces

Baptismal Candles
We've never received eight people at once. Heck, we've never done that many in a year. (Note: this family will be chrismated, not baptized.) As I mentioned previously I am in charge of the candles. I had to make them slightly simpler than usual because of the sheer number. I usually make the candles for … Continue reading Baptismal Candles
Gearing up
I hit the stores early this morning to get Pascha candy in sale. Alas, I had forgotten to get Cadbury creme eggs early (as in weeks ago)! I had been avoiding the "seasonal" aisle at the grocery store because it was painful but that meant I forgot. Ah well, they'll all be happy anyway. My … Continue reading Gearing up
