Right now it’s 75 and quite humid. The sky is mostly cloudy. But…

The cold front, long-awaited and despaired-of, is heading through this morning. When I got up at 6-something the wind was 2 mph (i.e. nothing). By 7:00 it was 4 mph. Now it’s 8 mph and out of the NNW. Actually it’s not much of a steady breeze, more fits and starts, but it’s a good beginning and a welcome relief. The high today is supposed to be 79 thanks to the combination of cloud cover and front. Yesterday it was 98 and we’ve set records the last couple days. 

The temperature will go back up (forecast for highs 89-91 most of the week) but today is a nice break.
