We made our obligatory stop at the aptly named Souvenir City where the kids posed for pictures inside the shark’s mouth and on the pirate ship facade. There’s also a picture of Mittens meeting the hermit crabs.
Afterward we went to the Foley Railroad Museum and O-gauge model train. Admission is free! We all loved the trains and the little ones had a good time climbing in a little train on the grounds. On the other side of the museum were several cars in the last remaining section of Foley’s train track. I highly recommend going if you’re ever in the area. The model train setup is open three days a week and is staffed by volunteer train aficionados. They really enjoy chatting with visitors, pointing things out, and letting the children push the buttons to make the trains whistle. You could stay for hours looking at all of the incredible details.
looks like a lot of fun, I am so glad!!!
