Mittens woke me very early. Well, the thunder woke me first, I’m guessing around 4. Mittens woke well before dawn and when I finally got her back to sleep and looked at the time it was 6:20. I quietly got up and dressed and went out to watch the sun rise. It rose, but it was hard to tell because of all the towering thunderheads around. It was so cool and breezy that I stayed out to watch as long as I could. Patience was rewarded with a lovely rainbow.
