The morning started with thunderstorms:
We attended Liturgy at St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church in Gulf Shores. Everyone was so welcoming, especially Fr. Sasa. I hope if you’re in the area over a weekend you’ll attend. They were celebrating the leave-taking of the Elevation of the Cross so everyone was given basil from the cross to take home. After Liturgy they insisted on taking a photo of us for their archives and everyone looked pleasant! (It’s such a shame the oldest is spending several days with Grandma and wasn’t in it.) Speaking of which, this was the first time I’ve ever been given an ovation for having seven children.
We spent a quiet day and the sky this evening over the Gulf was lovely.
What a lovely loving experience! I am so very glad! ♡♡♡♡
