By raising Lazarus from the dead before Thy passion, Thou didst confirm the universal resurrection, O Christ God! Like the children with the branches of victory, we cry out to Thee, O Vanquisher of Death: Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessing the palms before Liturgy:
Moppet was thrilled when I let her pick up a palm cross. She held it up and went skipping back around to where we had been standing (I moved across the church to get better photos and to let the little ones watch more closely). The joy and delight on her face I didn’t capture, but in the few photos I took I think you can see it in how she moved.
And then Liturgy:
Yesterday for Vespers and this morning for Liturgy I did not have to go out once with the little ones! This was the first time in literally years, ever since before Moppet was born. It was a miracle. We did have to leave during the announcements but Liturgy was technically over. I took a photo of us in the narthex to commemorate the occasion.
