Mittens didn’t take kindly to the take-off. Especially when we hit a few bumps of turbulence as we were still in a fairly steep climb. Fortunately my seat mate found her reaction (and crying) amusing. She settled down as soon as I took her out of her car seat, falling asleep shortly thereafter. She slept until we were disembarking.
I took a Christmas present from Father to read along the way.
There was the most amazing thing on the way to Indian Pass: afternoon fog. This is the setting sun viewed through the fog over St. Joe Bay.
More photos tomorrow and in the coming days. This evening as we walked Lucy (dog) on the beach Venus was so bright it left a reflection path on the water just as the moon does. I wish my phone could have captured it (on another clear night I will try with the camera).
