Sunday I finally got a chance to photograph the carved chalice and diskos at our parish, as well as take more detailed photos of the royal doors. The same person hand-carved all of them.

How beautiful! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carved chalice, but it’s gorgeous.

I remember seeing one in the Orthodox Arts Journal some years ago, but not before or since. It’s lovely.
