This falls under the category “accidentally took a beautiful picture.” The doll was made nearly 70 years ago as a baby present for my father. Many years ago, before I had children myself, I replaced the arms. I keep meaning to sew clothes for her but life keeps intruding. Someday. Miss Moppet was watching me last night in the craft room and spied this doll on the top of one of the sets of shelves. She has held it ever since, and it is currently lying beside her plate at breakfast.

  1. It makes me think of the Velveteen Rabbit. This is a doll that’s become real because it was loved, and Miss Moppet knows it. The Skin Horse knew what he was talking about
