As I mentioned in my last post we spent yesterday in the vicinity of Washington, TX. The morning we spent at St. Paraskevi Orthodox Monastery, picking up candles for our parish, talking to Gerontissa, and of course, playing with the resident dogs. This is Kali:
While we were there a family came requesting their oldest son, who has cancer, be blessed with the relics of St. Paraskevi. His name is Luka and he looked to be about 4. Father blessed him with the relics and anointed him. Please keep Luka in your prayers.
Naturally we visited the peacocks.
I left feeling refreshed as always. It was a good way to celebrate the feast of St. Catherine, Miss Moppet’s patron saint.
I love this monastery!
