Visiting a 19th Century Farm

This morning we drove over to Washington, TX to visit St. Paraskevi Monastery. Afterward we drove just down the road to Washington on the Brazos State Park. We all enjoyed the house (a two-story dogtrot built in the 1830’s, home of the last president of the Republic of Texas) and the farm, complete with chickens, pigs, and a grey cat. We didn’t have enough time to visit everything so we will make another trip sometime.
