Well, really it’s more of a baking weekend because we made the baklava yesterday evening.

The baklava will be divided and packaged for sale at the parish’s youth bake sale. Except for some minor assistance the girls made it in their own. Today they will make the banana bread.

I need to run to the store for some more butter (I severely underestimated our butter needs this week) and to Hobby Lobby for materials to package everything. To get it out of the way early and free up the oven for the banana bread I’m making the prosphora now.

To cap it all off, we’re having our “traditional Thanksgiving dinner” tomorrow late afternoon so preparations for that will begin today as well.
