A Trio of Dolls

I have this sweet trio of dolls prominently displayed on one of my bookshelves with some vintage children’s books. A friend and neighbor of my grandmother’s made them when she was expecting my father in 1948. They survived remarkably well; I replaced the missing arms on the middle one many years ago, but other than that, no changes were made. I need to make her a new set of clothes in keeping with the original style.

  1. No worries! I've got a note to myself to mail it; I'll try to dig out the fabric in a few days. I've been dragging so much with this illness…(and I'm sure you aren't exactly itching to sew up a doll's dress just at the moment…) 🙂
