I have this sweet trio of dolls prominently displayed on one of my bookshelves with some vintage children’s books. A friend and neighbor of my grandmother’s made them when she was expecting my father in 1948. They survived remarkably well; I replaced the missing arms on the middle one many years ago, but other than that, no changes were made. I need to make her a new set of clothes in keeping with the original style.
that's really lovely! they are so sunny looking and like the perfect take-every-where-you-go dolls!

Juliana, I deleted your comment by mistake while trying to reply to it. Thank you so much for your offer of the feed sack scrap! I'm sure it will be perfect!

No worries! I've got a note to myself to mail it; I'll try to dig out the fabric in a few days. I've been dragging so much with this illness…(and I'm sure you aren't exactly itching to sew up a doll's dress just at the moment…) 🙂
