I used every single pin on only one half of the sticharion, trying to
get the inside seams finished so there will be no rough edges. When I
emptied the pin cushion I saw the barest bit of silver poking out and
thought, “Well, I might as well get the needles out while I’m at it.
There are probably one or two hiding.”
Um, no. There were NINETEEN.
[ETA: *OUCH* …TWENTY]
oh that's so funny!!! 🙂 My goodness!!! :)))) (also, as always I LOVE your sense of humour!)

How did you get them out?? I know I have probably a dozen needles in my pin cushion, but I cant get them out.

You could use tweezers or needle-nosed pliers, but I used my teeth. All you have to do is squeeze the pin cushion enough to expose a few millimeters.
