Carding Wool September 22, 2014October 12, 2016 / matushkaanna I couldn’t justify spending so much on hand carders when I’m not setting up a wool business or anything, so I got two dog slicker bushes at the store today. They work quite well! Share this:TwitterFacebookPinterestLike this:Like Loading...

good job! it's exciting to do things frugally and see what comes of it! your wool is looking great 🙂
Yep, this is about as frugal as it gets! Free wool, washed myself, carding it with dog brushes ($9 total). Already have the spinning wheel so I could wind up with a good bit of free wool yarn.
How is it coming along?
I have about 10 rolags (cylinders of carded wool) and a lot of wool left to go. It's hard to get it done because I can't do much of anything without a thousand interruptions (mostly having to put everything down to go get Miss Moppet out of something she's not supposed to be in).
