This has been going around my Facebook friends the past couple of days – it's just sooooo beautiful…. and the technology is so impressive… I've never seen anything like that – and it's interactive! Thanks so much for posting about it here!!!
So moving, with the long line of people waiting to reverence the icon, and especially watching them briefly rest their foreheads against it…I have not seen that before. Is that a Russian thing, or just a heartfelt and spontaneous gesture of emotion?
Elizabeth, I have mostly seen Russians do this but not only. I've seen it at OCA churches and I believe at Antiochian churches as well. I'm trying to remember if I've seen it at Greek churches or monasteries.
Wow. I had chills during most of that! You were right, stunning exhibit. Stunning documentary!

Beautiful! Forgive my ignorance, but do you know which icon it is that is the main part of the display?

I posted it to my FB page also. One of the most moving and yes, stunning things I've experienced in a long time.

The exhibit was visited by 70,000 people while it was open November 4th through 7th. Stunning! I wish I were there.
