I can’t believe I’m doing this but…

…I’m actually creating a blog award. Isn’t that a hoot?

Inspired by my own post, and yes, I know how pathetic that sounds, I’ve decided to create the “Keepin’ it Real” award. This is for bloggers who share glimpses of their real life even when it’s not magazine-perfect. Not that you have to be that way all the time, just on occasion.

So, the first person to be awarded iiiiisss (drumroll please)…

Genevieve at Recovering Pessimist! (She may or may not want to accept this!) Feel free to copy and paste this award if you so desire, Genevieve.

[And, can you tell I’m new at this?? I forgot something important: if you are tagged with this award, please think of someone else to award it to!]

  1. I love this idea. I often get down that the house isn't clean, the kids are being wild, and I am running around like a chicken without a head not knowing what to do first. It defianetly helps to see that not everyone is picture perfect.

  2. Some people can look at beautiful, uplifting blogs and be inspired, cheered and uplifted – all the time. I am not one of those lovely souls and get depressed sometimes when comparing my unorganized, imperfect life to the perceived perfection on some blogs. I KNOW that the people who have those blogs aren't perfect! And I heartily enjoy looking at beautiful things. But sometimes I need some company in my imperfection. (:

  3. Enjoy! I saw you already passed it along to Alana – great! There were so many of you wonderfully imperfect people (grin) that I had a hard time choosing the first one. My hats are off to all of the real women who keep truckin' on!

  5. Aauuuggghhhh! I think I'm going to have to give this out on a weekly basis. Maybe Monday, since we could all use a good laugh and/or an uplift then. (c; Maybe I should give out just a few more to get things started…
