I think a weak funnel just passed over and a little to the south (like a few blocks) of the house. I was watching from the porch. We had some hail first then I could tell from the abrupt changes in wind direction and some rotation visible above. It was rain-wrapped so I couldn’t see much more. I was practically leaning off the porch at one point thinking that if it’s there to be seen, by golly I’m going to see it. I’m pretty sure it didn’t touch down.

Awesome.

[Addendum: At the time I wrote this I was unaware of the number of fatalities associated with this storm system. In all honesty, that doesn’t change my awe at the power I witnessed Friday, but I wanted to make it clear that my prayers are with those who were affected by the storms. Lord have mercy.]
