I made these early last week but I had to wait until Mom got them in the mail (Happy Birthday!) before I posted the pictures. (Sorry, they’re a little blurry.)
These are the same kind of cookie-cutter ornaments the children made with felt. I used embroidery floss and wool instead of crocheting thread and felt. Remember the strips of wool? This is what I had in mind. I have more ornaments in the works…
Addendum: I forgot to mention that one of the best things about a craft like this is that it’s supposed to look “primitive” and homemade. Using contrasting thread and visible stitching adds to the charm. Not everyone likes this look, but I like it (and find it convenient, too!).
Those came out really nicely. I was wondering when you would post photos 🙂 I think even I could handle a craft like that.
