Genevieve is our Hurricane Katrina Cat. She was found clinging to either branches or rafters above the water (so she freaks out if she gets up in anything resembling those) and shipped up to a shelter in Birmingham in a little cardboard box. We went looking for a dog and I went to look at the cats “just for fun”. They were all in enclosures behind glass. As I looked at Genevieve, she stretched out her leg and put her paw up on the glass. I said, “Honey! Come look at my cat!” The rest is history. (c; She's beautiful.
